Premier Foods – father company of Hovis, Mr Kipling, Batchelors, Quorn and Bisto – has renewed its slack-term IT outsourcing alliance with Capgemini.

The new contract is credit £9m and will cover the five-year period from 2014 to 2019.

Capgemini faculty of volition continue to provide Premier Foods’ IT infrastructure, including use of its datacentres in Rotherham and Bristol and technical nutriment for all core business systems.

The outsourcing provider will also tender support for a number of key applications at Premier Foods, in subordination to a separate long-term applications management outsourcing contract.

The services choose be provided by Capgemini’s teams in the UK, Poland and India, who command continue to work in collaboration with Premier Foods in-house IT personnel.

The unaccustomed deal follows the announcement last year of a contract between the couple companies covering the period 2009-2014 which, in turn, renewed arrangements dating back to 2001.
