Networking vendors regard been looking ahead to the massive scalability that 100 Gigabit Ethernet technology order offer as Internet bandwidth consumption continues its unabated rise. The strength to 100 GbE picked up in earnest when the IEEE signed over on the standard in June, and now Brocade is looking to fall in on the action.

Brocade is out this week with its MLXe inmost part router, the latest upgrade to its flagship product, offering speeds of up to 15.36 terabits per second. The MLXe router, which Brocade says relies on some in-furnish with a “secret sauce,” will compete with comparable offerings from rivals Juniper and Cisco. Enterprise Networking Planet takes a mien.

The promise of 100 Gigabit Ethernet GbE is massive scalability to prevent meet the growing demand for Internet bandwidth.

Its a promise that networking vendor Brocade NASDAQ:BRCD is aiming to deliver up~ with its new MLXe core router, which can deliver up to 15.36 Terabits by second.

The MLXe core router promises increased density over Brocades prior generation MLX core router and can scale to 32 x 100 GbE ports. With the MLXe, Brocade is positioning over the Juniper T1600 and Ciscos CRS-3 for a greater have a portion of of the core routing market.
